This Cabernet is sourced from the Nappa Valley and made up of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petite Sirah, 1% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc. It was aged for 21 months in 100% French barrels (30% new/70% used).
From the winemaker – “The 2009 Stackhouse Cabernet Sauvignon has attractive aromas of raspberry, blackberry, graphite and spring flowers. This medium-bodied wine is elegant and has a beautiful upfront appeal.”
Best served with panna cotta & fresh fruit; summer fruit with turbinado sugar; simple cookies such as langue de chat, or almond biscotti.
