2015 La Crema Pinot Gris

Our original name, La Crema Vinera, means “best of the vine,” setting the standard for all we do since 1979. Our family-owned and operated winery focuses exclusively on cool-climate appellations. We’re continually exploring these very special regions— passionate in our belief that they make uniquely expressive and elegant wines. A long, long valley, both pastoral and austere. On one end, the Monterey Bay— dramatically deep, unusually cold. On the other, Central California, rich in history and agriculture. Throughout, a brisk, ever-present breeze that rises from the ocean and cools both elds of produce and expansive, rolling vineyards. This is Monterey—rocky, windswept and unrestrained.

From the Wine Maker – “Nectarine, Bosc pear, honeysuckle and wet river stone aromas. Melon, yellow apple and Meyer lemon flavors. Lively acidity with a lengthy, but refined finish.”

This wine is great alongside light salads, especially with vinaigrette dressings, and light pastas, especially with seafood or lemon. Try a gooey camembert cheese and definitely prosciutto with it!

2014 Stags Leap Napa Valley Chardonnay

The fruit is hand-picked and whole cluster pressed. In order to preserve the minerality, fresh acidity and clean fruit characteristics, this vintage did not undergo malolactic fermentation. A portion of the wine (25%) has been fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of the fruit while adding layers of taste and complexity. The wine was aged on the lees in French oak (25% new) for six months, and stirred weekly during maturation.

From the winemaker – “Aromas of lemon zest, tart white peach and crisp pear show generously in this refreshing cool-climate Chardonnay. On the palate, vibrant citrus fruit intensity is balanced by a wet stone core and nutty undertones. Focused, yet generous in style, the wine has notable acidity that maintains freshness and lasting lemon minerality that adds complexity.”

This wine pairs nicely with rich seafood dishes, roast chicken or pasta with cream sauce.

2013 Conundrum White Blend

Conundrum-White-BlendConundrum is a true California wine, with grapes sourced from Napa, Monterey, Santa Barbara and Tulare counties. We often hear the phrase “exotic” when described. It’s a fitting portrayal; there is no other wine quite like it.

From the Wine Maker – “Gorgeous aromas of apricot, honeysuckle, vanilla, and lime zest enhance a deeply-flavored palate of tropical fruit, peach, pear and honeydew melon. The complexity of this wine is brought into balance with a rich, round, soft texture; fresh, supportive acidity; and a stunning, satisfying finish!”

Pairs well with cornish game hens, duck or turkey prepared in rich, hearty or heavy sauces or hard cheeses like Parmigiano or Romano and firm cheeses like Cheddar.

2008 C&T Cellars Backyard Chardonnay

C&T Cellar is a small operation that focuses on quality wines from the Napa Valley.  The 2008 Edna Valley Chardonnay came from two neighboring vineyards within the Appellation. Both cool climate vineyards with long track records for producing quality wines.

From the winemaker – Nice green apple, pear and honeysuckle aromas, on the palate the wine is very well balance with wonderful acidity and texture. Green apples, pears and apricots dominate the palate with a perfect amount of creaminess to hold up to the acidity. This non-malolactic fermented chardonnay delivers a fabulous mouthful of flavors with a long finish.”

This wine pairs nicely with rich seafood dishes, roast chicken or pasta with cream sauce.
