From the Wine Maker – “The name Dogajolo was invented by Carpineto’s founders, derived from the Italian word doga, meaning “stave” — the narrow strips of wood used to form oak casks. A medium-bodied white with pleasant citrus aromas and flavors, Carpineto Dogajolo Bianco is a young, fresh wine with a balanced acidity and clean, delicate finish. Produced from estate-grown fruit from the Montepulciano estate, each varietal is vinified separately in stainless steel tanks. Medium in body with pleasant citrus fruit aromas and flavors, Dogajolo Bianco is a young, fresh white wine with a balanced acidity and clean, delicate finish.”
This white blend is made up of 40% Chardonnay, 30% Grechetto, and 30% Sauvignon Blanc.

Apothic, named for the mysterious place, Apotheca, where vintners stored their most coveted concoctions in 13th century Europe, Apothic blends fuse Old World intrigue with modern sophistication. The grapes for Apothic White were pressed and allowed to settle before racking. The must was fermented in upright tanks at cool temperatures to maintain and enhance the natural aromas and flavors. A portion of this wine underwent malolactic fermentation to soften the mouthfeel.

Grapes were sourced from vineyards throughout Washington State, including the Horse Heaven Hills, Columbia Valley, Wahluke Slope and the Yakima Valley. Merlot,Cabernet Franc, Syrah & Petit Verdot were added to create a fruit-forward profile and enhanced mouth feel.
