2006 Bodegas Lan Rioja Crianza

100% Tempranillo Brilliant red cherry with violet hues. Elegant ageing aromas with fruity notes. It shows good balance on the palate coming from the sweet and elegant tannins.

From the Wine Maker – “Fresh and balanced, this red brims with cherry, spice and licorice, with light, firm tannins and vibrant acidity. The texture is generous yet delicate. Not heavy, but vivacious.”

The wine is delicious paired with cold starters, pasta, cheeses. Also perfect as a wine by the glass.

2006 La Cattura Toscana

This Tuscan Cru has received great appreciation for its originality and freshness. It stands out with positive judgement from the wine-tasting commission organized by the Province of Pisa to rate the wine that aspire to the new DOC Terre di Pisa. This wine, which name has been inspired by the annual capture of wild hares bred in the natural setting of the vineyards, is the expression of an organic agriculture that has renounced to any product or procedure damaging nature, rediscovering the great values of an antique vine-growing process. The wine is made with a selection of Teroldego and Syrah grapes and refined for 12 months in oak barrels.

From the Wine Maker – “Purple red colour, on the note is shows notes of red berries, blackberries and hints of white pepper; in the mouth it is medium-bodied, fresh, velvety with well-integrated tannins.”

Serve with mediterranean pasta dishes, poultry and vegetable soups.

2006 DaVinci Chianti

Well balanced and medium weight wine with flavors of ripe plums, cherries and red fruit. Lively with a soft mineral finish and round tannins that linger in a long peppery Finish. Lively, with plum, berry and a hint of milk chocolate on a simple, fruity palate. Delicious.

From the Wine Maker – “The Da Vinci Chianti is deep crimson in color with aromas of cherries and red fruit balanced by soft, round tannins.”

2006 San Giuseppe Chianti Classico Riserva

Chianti is Italy’s best known wine. Chianti is also Italy’s oldest defined area. The region was created by Medici decree over five centuries ago. That region later became the ”Classico” as the popularity of Chianti grew and the vineyards needed to serve the demand grew outside of the original region. Unlike Chianti with Cabernet that tends to dominate, San Giuseppe goes as well with light pasta as with steak.

2010 Decoy Merlot, Sonoma County

This vintage is comprised of 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and fermented in 100% French Oak Château-Style Barrels (60 Gallons) for 12 months, and 5% in New Oak.

From the winemaker – “The 2010 Decoy Sonoma County Merlot is lush and enticing with aromas that strike an appealing balance between vibrant cranberry and deeper, dark berry notes, with sophisticated hints of white pepper and forest floor. The palate is rich and beautifully structured, offering a lush core of dark, ripe fruit wrapped in smooth, firmly textured tannins.”

A wonderful glass to sip own its own, this wine has just the right amount of acidity and structure to compliment robust lamb, beef and game dishes.

2006 Monsieur Touton Merlot

Packed with deep, dark berry fruit and nuanced hints of cocoa, herb and earth with a soft structure. Its velvety texture makes Merlot instantly appealing and an obvious alternative to similar, more tannic Bordeaux varieties. A delicious straight forward, no-nonsense Bordeaux wine. The finish is long and the tannin is perfect for any kind of game or casserole dish.

Great with rack or leg of lamb, lamb chops, roast pork, pork chops or tenderloin, veal with heartier vegetable and/or bean sauces or mushroom and/or wine sauces or Parmigiano, Romano and other hard cheeses as well as cheddar and other savory, firm cheeses.
