Our first wine was our 2010 vintage Napa Valley Red Wine. A blend of 4 grape varieties from 8 different vineyards throughout the valley. The wide array of sources and grape varieties inspired the name. Like an aviary full of exotic birds that capture one beautifully united experience, we imagine our wines to be a collection of vineyards and grapes that combine so that the whole is more than the sum of its parts. Today, we contract with 11 distinct Napa Valley vineyards to make Aviary wines.
From the winemaker – “Our 2010 Aviary Red Wine presents aromas of cherry, blackberry, tobacco, and black currant, reinforced by notes of truffle, nutmeg and subtle cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is lush and juicy, with a fleshy midpalate and soft, lingering tannins. Refined oak-inspired elements of cedar and walnut highlight the rich dark fruit flavors, giving them an enticing black cherry pie quality.”
