Domaine Guillaman is in southwestern France in Armagnac country, home of that fiery spirit made from grapes. Dominique Ferret is the sixth generation to manage the family’s estate and the first to focus on table wines instead of growing grapes for Armagnac. The change required major renovations in the winery and vineyards, but , the effort was clearly worth it.
From the Wine Maker – “The colour is pale yellow with beautiful glints of green, and brilliantly clear. The bouquet is exuberant and lets you dream: plenty of fruit (grapefruit, lychee, passion-fruit) and a hint of acacia. The taste is well-rounded, full and very fresh, and there is a good follow-through from the bouquet: fruit, more fruit, ever more fruit.”
This wine is good as an apéritif, or served with cold meats, fish and shellfish.
