Benchland is perhaps the most prized piece of real estate on earth for winemakers. Blessed with ancient, complex soils, benchlands produce wines that are supremely balanced and utterly profound. The Cambria Estate vineyard is located 17 miles from the Pacific Ocean in Santa Maria. It is a remarkable place for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah. It is 100% benchland.
From the winemaker – “Cambria Katherine’s Vineyard Chardonnay has aromas and flavors of fresh mango, peach, citrus, vanilla bean, and spice. It has a lush entry framed by high natural acidity at the back-end and minerality on the finish.”
This wine is best served with grilled or saute’ed pork chops, pork tenderloin, grilled or saute’ed veal, veal marsala, scallopine or roasted veal.
