This great cabernet is made up of 96%Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot. After a 10-day fermentation in stainless tanks, the wine was aged with a combination of 65% French and 35% American oak to round out and soften the rich, black fruit flavors.
From the winemaker – “Our 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon wows with a rich, juicy core of concentrated blackberry and black raspberry flavors framed by perfectly integrated tannins. Strong yet supple, the complex layers unfold into a long, savory finish.”
Pairs well with cornish game hens, duck or turkey prepared in rich, hearty or heavy sauces or hard cheeses like Parmigiano or Romano and firm cheeses like Cheddar.
