2007 Villa Antinori Toscana

This wine was introduced in 1928 by Marquis Niccolò Antinori, as the first Chianti ever produced suited for being aged and improving over time. In 2001, Piero Antinori launched a new step in the evolution of Villa Antinori, making it a Tuscan IGT produced with the best selection of grapes originating exclusively from estates located in Tuscany. This Italian gem is a great red blend consisting of 55% Sangiovese, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 5% Syrah.

From the Wine Maker – “The wine has an intense ruby-red color. It offers full and complex aromas which recall ripe fruit, plum jam, mint, chocolate, and tobacco. In the mouth, the wine presents itself with good body; it is round, with soft, velvety tannins. The finish is long and lingering, leaving hints of ripe fruit on the palate.”

This wine is an excellent companion for fish and meat carpaccios, shellfish, spicy seafood, seafood pasta and soup dishes.

2008 Ménage à Trois Chardonnay

Notably spicy and floral, showing a touch of mint, with pear, melon and apple scents, turning simpler.

From the Wine Maker – “Each geographic partner in our Ménage à Trois Chardonnay contributes a distinctive quality: fresh citrus aromas from Monterey; lush tropical fruit flavors from Santa Barbara; and fine structure from Mendocino. We’d like to say it’s a Ménage made in heaven, but to be truthful, it was made in Napa Valley. (Hey, who’s splitting hairs?)

A great food wine, it will complement dishes like Halibut, Mahi Mahi, Monkfish, Red Snapper, Rock cod, Salmon, Sea Bass, Shark, Sole, Swordfish, Tilapia, Trout and Tuna sautéed, grilled, roasted or baked with or without sauces.

2009 Folie à Deux Ménage à Trois White Wine

2009 Ménage à Trois White WineThis wine is notably spicy and floral, showing a touch of mint, with pear, melon and apple scents, turning simpler.

From the winemaker – “The 2009 Ménage à Trois white is a trip to the islands without the worry of sunburn or bugs. It’s undeniably fruity and unabashedly easy. It’s meant to be quaffed, not analyzed. The White blend brings together citrus and tropical fruit flavors with crisp acidity. Dare we say it’s refreshing?
